Service Agreement

This Service Agreement outlines the working relationship between Sweet Mint Studio and the Client. It covers how services are delivered, how third-party expenses are handled, and what both parties are responsible for throughout the engagement. By purchasing any service from Sweet Mint Studio you agree to the terms outlined here as well as our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
1. Purpose
This Service Agreement outlines the working relationship between Sweet Mint Studio (“we,” “our,” or “us”) and the Client. It covers how services are delivered, how third-party expenses are handled, and what both parties are responsible for throughout the engagement.2. Scope of Work
All work performed by Sweet Mint Studio is based on the plan or service package selected by the Client at the time of purchase. Work begins only after full payment is received and confirmed. Any requests outside the agreed scope will be treated as additional Addon Services and quoted separately before work begins.3. Labor-Only Fee Structure
All fees charged by Sweet Mint Studio cover labor and professional services only. The following are not included in our service fees and are the sole financial responsibility of the Client:- Domain registration and renewal
- Web hosting fees
- Stock photography and licensed images
- Premium WordPress plugins and themes
- Third-party software subscriptions
- Any platform or tool fees required to complete the project
Plugin and Theme Purchasing Options
When a project requires premium plugins or themes, Sweet Mint Studio will always provide a clear recommendation and explain the available options before any purchase is made. The Client has two options:
Option A — Client Purchases Directly
The Client purchases required plugins or themes using their own account and payment method. This ensures the Client has full ownership and independent control of all licenses regardless of their ongoing relationship with Sweet Mint Studio. This is the recommended approach whenever possible.
Option B — Sweet Mint Studio Purchases on Client’s Behalf
In some cases Sweet Mint Studio may already hold a business or developer license for a plugin or theme that covers multiple client sites. The Client may benefit from a lower cost or no additional purchase at all under this arrangement. However the Client acknowledges and agrees to the following:
- The plugin or theme license is held by Sweet Mint Studio, not the Client
- If the Client ends services with Sweet Mint Studio, they will need to purchase their own individual license for any tools covered under Sweet Mint Studio’s subscription in order for those tools to continue functioning properly
- Sweet Mint Studio will clearly disclose which plugins or themes fall under this arrangement before work begins
- Sweet Mint Studio is not responsible for any disruption to the site caused by the Client’s failure to obtain their own licenses after ending services
Our commitment: Regardless of which option is chosen, Sweet Mint Studio will always advise the Client on the best tools for their specific needs and present all options transparently so the Client can make a fully informed decision.
4. Third-Party Purchases on the Client’s Behalf
When the Client requests that Sweet Mint Studio purchase necessary tools or services on their behalf the following terms apply:- Sweet Mint Studio will always purchase at exact cost with zero markup
- The Client will be invoiced for the exact amount paid including any applicable taxes or fees
- The preferred method is for the Client to purchase directly using their own card or account wherever possible
- If Sweet Mint Studio uses its own payment method, reimbursement is due within 5 business days of the invoice date
- Sweet Mint Studio is not responsible for price changes, renewal costs, or subscription changes on third-party platforms after the initial purchase
5. Client-Provided Access
The Client agrees to provide timely access to any accounts, platforms, or credentials needed to complete the project including but not limited to:- Domain registrar login or DNS access
- Web hosting account access
- Existing WordPress admin credentials
- Google account access for Analytics, Search Console, or Meet setup
- Social media accounts if applicable to the agreed scope of work
6. Communication and Turnaround
Sweet Mint Studio operates by appointment during evenings and weekends. Response times and project timelines are agreed upon at the start of each engagement. The Client agrees to respond to requests for feedback, content, or approvals within 5 business days to avoid project delays. Delays caused by the Client do not entitle the Client to a refund or project timeline reduction.7. Delivery and Handoff
Upon project completion and final payment confirmation, Sweet Mint Studio will deliver the completed website and provide the Client with access to all relevant accounts and platforms. A 30-day complimentary support period begins at the time of handoff as outlined in our Terms and Conditions.8. No Ongoing Obligation
This agreement covers the specific project or service purchased. Sweet Mint Studio has no ongoing obligation to maintain, update, or support the delivered work beyond the 30-day support period unless the Client purchases an ongoing maintenance or Addon Service package.9. Agreement to Terms
By purchasing any service from Sweet Mint Studio the Client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to this Service Agreement as well as the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy available at sweetmintstudio.net.10. Cancellation
If the Client wishes to cancel a project after work has begun, the following terms apply:- Cancellations within 2 days of project start are subject to a $150 cancellation fee. The remaining balance will be refunded.
- Cancellations between 50% and 70% project completion may receive a 50% refund at Sweet Mint Studio’s discretion based on work completed.
- Cancellations at or beyond 70% project completion are non-refundable. The majority of deliverables have been completed and the investment cannot be recovered.
